Day Three: Feel the cold!

Day three brought us the panoramic landscapes of the blue mountains. The students were able to stretch their legs after the bus ride this morning with a bush walk. The students' highlight of the walk was the view of the three sisters and spotting the wildlife.

The afternoon brought an opportunity to pan for gold in the Bathurst gold fields, everyone has a small vial of alluvial gold to bring home that they panned themselves. Students learnt about the history of gold mining in the area. Many students are realising how cold the temperature is away from Sydney - rumor has it, it might be snowing in Canberra over the next few days.

Tonight we were treated to a bush time story teller who remarkably performed the works of Banjo Patterson like The Man From Snowy River. We finished the night with a barn yard style bush dance!
